Come stroll the Gardens! Experience our wonderful Old Florida ambiance and meet our dedicated volunteer workers. Receive their help choosing from the many varieties of beautiful succulent plants we’ll have for sale.
Please note that these sessions are subject to cancellation, without public notice, due to weather conditions or the absence of available volunteers. Both situations are quite rare, but certainly worth planning for if you will be traveling from afar.
Sale Days Information
The Sparkman House and Grounds
The Sarasota Succulent Society is located on the grounds of an historic depression-era home, recently restored, which will be open for viewing. With its peaceful atmosphere, the reasonable prices for plants, free admission, and the fact that this historic building and our Gardens are usually only open to the public 3 hours each week, this event is a special treat.
This mysteriously hidden rolling hills garden — with a Sarasota history dating back to the 1930’s — is home to rare and exotic succulents from around the world. During our public sales we have volunteers on hand to serve as guides and sources of information. We look forward to sharing our unique Gardens with you.
Terms of Sales and Donations
All plants are offered at reasonable prices and all proceeds are used to maintain the Gardens and enable our educational outreach. Purchases can be made by credit card, contactless payment systems, cash, or check. Donations of plants, pots, volunteer time and funds are welcome at any time. The Society is a federally registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization and our operations are staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.
Directions
We are on the north-east corner of Cocoanut Ave. and Myrtle St.
